Plumshot is designed to process screenshots, recordings, annotations, and text recognition locally on your Mac. We do not operate a cloud service for uploading or storing your captures.
Information processed on your Mac
- Screenshots, recordings, capture history, and edits remain on your Mac.
- OCR runs on-device using Apple frameworks.
- Trial and license state is stored in the macOS Keychain.
Purchases and license validation
Dodo Payments acts as the payment provider and merchant of record for purchases. Its checkout may collect the contact, payment, billing, and tax information needed to complete the transaction under its own privacy terms. Plumshot sends the license key, its activation instance identifier, and a Mac device name to Dodo Payments when activating, validating, or deactivating a license.
Website
The Plumshot website does not require an account. We do not currently use advertising trackers or behavioral analytics. Standard hosting logs may temporarily include technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and request time for security and reliability.
